Biographical Info Artist, writer, devoted to service. Studied Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin, worked in customer service for years, while making big messy piles of art. Applied relentlessly to MSW programs after a few years of this, and finally got into one, through the University of Southern California, after working for a year at a level-14 group home for "severely emotionally disturbed" (the phrase of those days) teenage girls in Santa Rosa. My program focus was Mental Health, and I interned at a chemical dependency (men's methadone-to-abstinence residential, and detox, and outpatient) program in Bronx NY, as well as a skilled nursing home for individuals with HIV/AIDS, while working as a research assistant at Columbia University. I then worked at Seneca Family of Agencies in SF for three years as a Wraparound Clinician, providing community based mental health services to foster children and youth, and their families and communities. Now transitioning into private practice in SF, providing sliding-scale, trauma-focused therapy to creative women, and open to any and all whose current struggles fall under my scope of competence (attachment/relationship difficulties, trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, depression).
