Short Description Skillful, compassionate support & healing for children, parents, teens & families

Description Does your family have extra challenges because of adoption and pre-adoption history, attachment problems, foster care, divorce, trauma, or other complications? I work with children (including the very young), teens, and parents who are struggling with issues most families don’t have to deal with—issues like abandonment, abuse, and neglect, a history of institutional care or multiple changes of caregiver, exposure to domestic or community violence, insecure attachment/RAD, child/teen anxiety and depression, out-of-control behavior, and post-traumatic stress.I also work with parents, both those who themselves have a history of trauma and those who are just looking for some coaching around attachment-safe discipline and parenting strategies that promote connection so that parents can more reliably serve as their children's safe base from which to explore the world and secure harbor. to return to when things get rough out there. Please see my website for more information on integrative treatment options and my approach to working with the normative challenges of adoption as well as the special challenges of developmental trauma (traumatic experiences in the first years of life).
