Short Description Person-Centered Therapy for Centered-Person Living

Description I take a whole-person approach towards healing: somatically, creatively, cognitively, relationally, and spiritually. I believe in a non-pathologizing attitude towards those on the road to recovery and support. My general treatment orientation is based on a Rogerian Person-Centered, process-oriented approach to allow for all aspects of an individual to be present during our sessions; psychosynthesis and Gestalt techniques for internal conflict; and mindfulness skills and cognitive-behavioral therapy for negative cycles of thinking, harmful unrealistic expectations and interpretations of the world that lead to anxiety, addictions, and depression. For those seeking personal insight, I find that implementing the expressive arts, sandtray, or somatic therapy techniques can be effective in accessing the subconscious, creative wisdom that lies within each and every one of us.
