Educational Goals

This presentation takes an in-depth look at Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act from the standpoint of what the California Penal Code states. It examines why the law was created, who qualifies as a mandated reporter, the various types of abuse and neglect as well as concludes with how to actually make a report.

Upon completion of this workshop, attendees will be able to:

  • Recognize why the law was created and acknowledge potential deficiencies in the law
  • Interpret the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act as it relates to marriage and family therapy
  • Assess multiple scenarios to analyze if child abuse and neglect has occurred

$10 for each 1.5 CE training, plus eventbrite fees. All fees are paid to SFCAMFT and are non-refundable.

If attending live, the Zoom link will be provided at registration confirmation. This event will be recorded and a viewing link will be sent out several days after the recording is edited. Only registered individuals will receive the viewing link and have the opportunity to complete the feedback form to receive CEs. The link will expire 3 weeks after the live training. The advantage of live attendance is your chance to interact with the CAMFT attorneys via chat.
